Welcome to NUS Diary!
NUS Diary is a website that brings social networking to a whole new level by incorporating it in the education sector. We seek to present a resourceful platform for students from the National University of Singapore to interact with each other through their respective faculty groups in topics ranging from school life, faculty news, module reviews, sale of used textbooks, student organizations and lots more fun! The interface is user-friendly, enhanced by a simple facebook login system, chat feature, and easy-to-use forums. We believe that this will help bring about positive change for our peers and university as a whole.
NUS Diary was launched by two students, Chinab Chugh and Nelson Woon, from the same university (currently studying as undergraduates in the faculty of engineering) in April 2011. Believe it or not, this website started off initally as a prank! However, we thought of moving it a step forward and actually using it to help NUS. The following is a brief write-up on both of us:
Nelson
I am an undergraduate from the Faculty of Engineering. I like to explore something new, and thanks to the creation of internet, everyone on Earth has the ability to learn anything, anytime. I like to surf the internet because from the web, I learnt a lot and able to solve most of the problems encountered in my daily life. Making use of the power of internet and social networking, I and Chinab decided to create the NUS Diary, a place where every NUS students and staffs are able to discuss anything related to NUS. We hope that every NUS students and staffs will fully utilize the free services on NUS Diary.
Chinab
I also study Engineering and pursue the University Scholars Programme. I enjoy what I study and moreover, love research and immersing myself in various co-curricular activities. With the effort we have put in so far, I hope NUS Diary will be a great mode to share information, reach out to your friends, and enrich the university experience we have had so far. Indeed, I think this will be the change you and me desire!
